I recently visited Gold Bug in Pasadena, CA where they have an over abundance of strange and gorgeous hand-made art and accessories. Snooping around I found this amazing North Star Compass.
The first time I saw something like this was in Cupertino at the Apple Campus. I can’t say for sure that it was Idea Paint in their rooms, but it was something very similar. Idea Paint lets you paint a dry erase board on your wall. Pure Awesome.
It’s amazing to watch these swallows fly. I’ve been watching a lot of Planet Earth these days, and their swarming, darting, ameba forms remind me of schools of fish. Oh, to be on that canoe…

Andrei Tarkovsky, the iconic Russian filmmaker known for such films as Stalker, has an amazing set of polaroid photographs from way back when.
Fronalpstock is a gorgeous mountain located in the Canton, or State, of Schwyz near central Switzerland. Switzerland is one of the most expensive beautiful places in Europe and this shows it. This mountain is 1,922 meters above sea level.
I’ve been an M83 fan for a long time, and I’ve been looking forward to this album for months. Some have called this album the culmination of what M83 is. I may have to agree. This album certainly has dreamy elements from much of his original work, and yet he was able to combine that with the 80′s retro feel of his last album. There’s nothing that I love more than pie charts. So when I ran into these pie chart stickies it was instant euphoria. Each pie chart is made up of different sized slices for every occasion.

This video, titled The Water, features some amazing time lapse of water streams. So fast that the water almost looks like mist or the vapor from dry ice. Beautiful.
Heineken has had sporadic ad campaign efforts for while, but it seems like they finally found something that works… and works well. This commercial is called The Date, and it’s amazing. Check out the additional video from behind the scenes over at Weiden+Kennedy.
